A Quartet at the Courthouse for our CEO

After years of performing at the Allegheny County Courthouse, Nicole already knew the magic of that space. So when it was her turn, she chose to walk down the aisle there with her own quartet playing behind her. The courthouse staircase has incredible acoustics: the music rings like an orchestra through the marble halls.

During the prelude, we played a custom arrangement of the Star Trek theme as a nod to her husband’s favorite show, followed by Mascagni’s “Intermezzo” for the processional. When Nicole and her husband kissed, she accidentally cued the recessional early—but the quartet rolled right into a soaring excerpt from Holst’s “Jupiter.” The whole space filled with sound, and even Nicole admits it gave her chills!
