Nicole Lennartz
Founder, violinist, music director
Nicole Lennartz has been playing the violin since the age of three. Raised by two professional musician parents, she learned early on how to build a sustainable career as both a performer and an entrepreneur. Her work spans solo performance, chamber music, orchestral playing, electric violin, and musical theater. Highlights include sold-out chamber music performances with the Gilded Stage Chamber Music Experience in 2024, performing the theme from Schindler’s List with River City Brass, and planning, marketing, and headlining Radiant Strings Live at Kingfly Spirits in 2025. She performs annually with regional orchestras including the Butler County, Westmoreland, Greenville, and Johnstown Symphony Orchestras. Nicole has been featured on WQED’s Voice of the Arts podcast and The Work Out Loud podcast, and has shared the stage with artists such as Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, Il Divo, Evanescence, Warren Haynes, The Jacksons, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. She holds a BA from Duquesne University in Marketing Communications and Music Performance and a master’s degree from West Virginia University in Data Marketing Communications. She also serves as a graduate student mentor at WVU’s Reed College of Media.
How did you first start playing with Radiant Strings?
Radiant Strings officially formed in 2019 after my friends and I had been playing gigs together throughout 2018. We decided to name ourselves and make it official. I created our Instagram, Facebook page, and first website, launching everything on January 27, 2019, also known as Radiant Strings Day.
What makes Radiant Strings special to you?
Radiant Strings is the organization I always hoped I would work for. I take pride in building something that prioritizes appreciation, integrity, and trust for everyone involved. I’ve worked hard to establish processes that ensure every musician who shows up to a gig feels supported, informed, and fully prepared before arrival.
I’ve also been intentional about building a team of 12 core musicians, along with more than 20 additional collaborators who work well together and share a strong sense of camaraderie. That foundation leads to smooth events and consistently high-quality performances for our clients. We genuinely value each other’s contributions to the music-making and have a great time on site, but it’s the behind-the-scenes preparation that makes those experiences possible. Everything I do with Radiant Strings is intentional, because I want both the musicians and our clients to have a truly fantastic experience.
